Just One LEARNING Bite

YouTube Video: ‘How to react when – not if – things go wrong’

One of my favourite leadership resources continues to be Yvonne Camus’s insightful talk on preparing for when – NOT IF – things go wrong.
I must have shown this dozens of times in coaching or training sessions, so I am sharing it with you in our Leadership Learning Bite this week.

Why I love it? Having completed the Eco-Challenge (the world’s toughest adventure race), and despite being given 0% odds, Camus shares a powerful team philosophy:

they never debated IF something would go wrong, but prepared for WHEN it would happen.

This mindset allowed them to “accelerate through the wreckage” rather than get paralyzed by unexpected challenges.

Check it out and discover the transformative power of what made their rookie team win the race:

👉 one simple question (which I will not spoil for you by sharing it here)

👉 one simple agreement as step 2 of the question.

What I will also say is this: I found their philosophy to be a fantastically practical approach that WILL help you shift focus from assigning blame to finding solutions AND implementing these solutions as a TEAM.
